Unprofessional and Unclear Environment

Rooms outdated
Service was well below par
Staff called in and decided no breakfast
Breakfast the next morning the staff stopped cooking at 0930 although it was until 1030
Rooms didn’t have garbage cans and many doors looked broken
Staff was unprofessional and lack of
Impossible to get blankets and Pillows
Will never stay again. Moving away from IHG. I am a Platinum Elite Member with Bonvoy and was consider IHG but that will certainly not be happening

Check in experience was fine. When we got to our room things changed. There was ripped carpeting and dirt/debris on carpeting. The couch was very dirty and covered in stains. The appliances had food and drink smudges on them. The bathtub had hair and stains on it, and a large spider. The bed cover had stains on it. We needed to use the pull out sofa bed and that mattress was covered completely in stains, and there was no bedding for that bed in the room. We contacted the front desk to see if we could change rooms, and they said they didn’t have any other rooms available. But, I looked online and it said they did have rooms available. The desk clerk said they would send someone up to change the bedding and provide bedding for the sofa bed. This never happened after contacting the front desk 3 times. I finally went into the linens room and got them myself. The front desk never offered to clean the room, they did say they would “comp” the room but they never did. At check out they said there was no record of a “comp” and that I would have to contact the general manager, which wasn’t there, gave me her card. Ohh! and the A/C was not working in the room either so none of us slept well because of the warm temperature. I tried calling the manager and I was hung up on 3 times, when they finally transferred me to the manager no one answered and the mailbox was full.
Cleanliness and New Beds Needed

My first review disappeared so I am writing another one. I reserved a queen size suite and the bed was a full size and was broken. There was an odor coming from the air conditioning unit that made the room smell musty. The floors were not vacuumed and the bathroom and kitchenette floors were also dirty. I called down to the front desk a few times for assistance and did not get an answer. I opted for Lysol and Clorox wipes to make my room
more comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good, the dining area and pool were nice and the staff when checking in was very nice. I would not recommend staying here until they can fix the issues they have.
Broken Bed and Unclean Room

My family and I reserved 3 rooms for a trip to Cleveland. I reserved a Queen suite and the bed was a full size bed and was broken (both of the beds in my sisters room were broken). The room had not been vacuumed and the bathroom floor and kitchenette floor were filthy. I dropped something on the floor and grabbed a wipe to clean it up and the wipe had soo much dirt on it from the floor itself. My room also had an odor coming from the air conditioning. I called down to the front desk twice the night of checkin and there was no answer. I opted to get Lysol and Clorox wipes and clean myself. I called down the second night to get extra sheets and a blanket for the pullout bed and again no answer at the front desk. The rooms look for nice and are spacious but they need to do a better job at cleaning. Only 1 of the 3 rooms we had was clean.

Rome was way too cold. Could not get the heat to stay working temperature. Multiple resetss and finally the next morn it was better, not on target but better.

Coming in at 12:30 in the morning the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast in the morning was perfect.

Overall can not complain only the AC unit in room didn’t work great couple HOT NIGHTS
but overall great stay and I recommend this place indeed

I have been coming to the Hotel for 4 years, stay eeek at the time for work.
They changed staff and new staff is so rude! Rooms are dirty, doesn’t look like they vacuum at all, basic toiletries are missing and if you ask for them to the front seat they act like you are bothering them.
Fire Alarm went off twice in one week at midnight!
I had the sights for no disturb and no housekeeping needed and they ignored them and went into my room, took my groceries from it because they say they thought it was trash! They were in perfectly fine Whole Foods bags!!!!!!!
This Hotel is a nightmare! I would avoid to stay here at all cost.
And yes, I contacted the front desk and call IHG line. I guess nobody caress for the customers feedback, since they didn’t do anything to address the issues
Great Room, Less Great Staff

I’ll start with the positives. The room was great. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 1 king with 2 double beds. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in at a hotel. The room was large and had all the needed amenities.
The negatives: check in was terrible. I booked via the reservation phone line and selected “pay ahead no cancelation” to which the person who was helping me said the full amount would be charged to my card at the time of booking. I even clarified that I would not be charged anything additional at check in and that I was all set and she assured me that yes it was paid in full (I used an affirm virtual card). At check in they told me that it was not paid for and the card on file was declining.. so I had to figure out a way to pay $700+ dollars on the spot. It was incredibly frustrating and the staff was not helpful at all. Anytime I needed something or had a question the answer was basically “ya I don’t know”. The breakfast was underwhelming and the social hour with snacks never actually went to 730 which was realllllly frustrating. The outdoor pool was closed or delayed to open 2 of the 3 days we were there. Lastly, just down the hall there was a room with a dog that was very loud and barked / scratched the door every time someone walked down the hallway. This was reported to the desk multiple times and nothing was done. Overall I was not impressed or even ok with the quality of service.

I’ve stayed at IHG affiliates in many states but this was the worst stay I’ve had. I choose to book through IHG for more than just the points, I want a nice place for my family to stay that is consistently up to standards I would expect paying for rooms at the ~$150 rate. With dirty towels left in the closet, no blankets, pillow or linen for the sofa bed,the mattress had broken springs, and the sheets in the bed seemed unchanged from the last occupants, this is what I would expect from a local dive motel for $29.95 per night, never from IHG. No matter what Staybridge Suites in Mayfield Heights is paying to remain affiliated, it isn’t worth tarnishing the reputation that is IHG.

I will never in my life stay here again. I came several times before under my employee rate with typically small issues like trash still in the bin when checking in or dirty sheets. That’s all okay because they rectified the issue soon as I came down to the desk. However this last stay was inexcusable. I stayed via points and wasn’t told about incidentals at all. All 4 other previous stays no incidental was taken from me. At 3am on Friday my bank card was charged for 35.25. When asked they said it’s incidental. At checkout when I mentioned the situation I was met with a very rude staff member who told me you’re lucky it wasn’t 150 that’s our normal incidental fee…mind you it’s the weekend approaching and Memorial Day on Monday so I’m assuming it’ll take a few days for it to return. I check n see it went from pending to completed. They charged me the 35.25. I asked again hey what’s up with that and will I get it back. I was told yeah you need to be patient I was like understand however this transaction says completed if it was an incidental it’d be pending still. I even asked if a mistake was made and the point stay wasnt direct billed but maybe accidentally to my card? Was still told I’m wrong and that I’ll get it back soon. FINALY Today I spoke with an amazing front desk agent by the name of Regina who listened to me and helped uncover the problem. She said that’s not our incidental fee if anything we would’ve just charged 25.00 that you would’ve gotten back. She said confirmed to me a staff member made a mistake setting up my reservation and charged my card for the full 35.25. 5 days later and Regina was the ONLY employee to hear me out and agree that a problem had occurred! It’s going to take 7-10 days for me to get my money back when this could’ve easily been rectified sooner if any of the other employees cared for a moment to understand a guest concerns who frequented at the establishment. To say I’m Disappointed is a understatement. I hope someone can reach out to me to correct this
