National Infantry Museum

The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center is conveniently located outside the gates to Fort Moore-- two miles south of Victory Drive. From I-85 South, take exit 21 to I-185 South to Columbus. Take exit 1B and merge onto US 431/US 280/Victory Drive. Turn left onto Fort Moore Road and go on to park entrance. From I-85 North, take exit 62 for US 431/US 280 toward Phenix City. Continue east/south on US 431/US 280/Victory Drive. Turn right onto Fort Moore Road and go on to park entrance.

Chattahoochee RiverWalk

The Coca-Cola Space Science Center is a division of Columbus State University. It boosts several interactive displays and a planetarium. Geared towards younger visitors, but loved by all.

Andersonville

There are many sights to see in Andersonville. There are five interesting antique, craft and curiosity shops. The Wirz Monument that stands in the center of town reminds us of the many hardships that are faced during war. The log cabin church is a wonderful place to hold weddings. Andersonville also boasts a seven acre pioneer farm which depicts what life was like on a one man farm of the mid 1800s. They are open and ready to greet tour groups 364 days a year, every day but Christmas.

Little Whitehouse

Franklin Delano Roosevelt built the Little White House in 1932 while governor of New York, prior to being inaugurated as president in 1933. He first came to Warm Springs in 1924 hoping to find a cure for the infantile paralysis (polio) that had struck him in 1921.Visitors can tour FDR’s home, which has been carefully preserved very much as he left it.
