Fort McCoy houses the 84th Training Command (Leader Readiness), 88th Regional Support Command and Wisconsin National Guard Military Academy. As a Total Force Training Center, Fort McCoy's primary responsibility is providing quality training facilities for reserve and active-component military forces. We are situated on 60,000 acres between Sparta and Tomah, Wisconsin, in Monroe County.

Our property is located inside the gates of historic Fort McCoy! Whether traveling to the Fort on offical business or for leisure we are prepared to assist you with your lodging needs. Many of the classes taught on Fort McCoy are conducted right here on property (no need to brave the elements). When opportunity for leisure comes up, the local MWR directorate has everything you need!

From Interstate 94, take Exit 143, Hwy 21. Take a left at the stop sign off the exit. Go straight through 2 sets of stop lights. Continue straight on Hwy 21 for approximately 9 miles to Fort McCoy. Or take Interstate 90 East to Sparta. Take the first Sparta Exit; Hwy 27 exit 25, Take a left at the stop sign off the exit. Continue on Hwy 27 to the third set of stop lights. Turn on Montgomery St and turn left on Hwy 21 East and continue for approximately 8 miles to Fort McCoy.
