Dublin is a small town in Pulaski County, Virginia. It has around 2,500 residents and was named after the city in Ireland. The total area of the town is 1.4 square miles, and Dublin is part of the state's Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford metropolitan area. Many of its buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places. Locals say that the New Dublin Presbyterian Church, which was named after Dublin, Ireland, is actually where the town's name came from.
During a visit to Dublin, it's always fun to visit Claytor Lake State Park. This beautiful natural area has hiking trails surrounding the water along with plenty of space on the lake for boating and fishing. Claytor Lake has plenty of bass living in its waters.
