SAN FRANCISCO (January 22, 2019) – Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has been awarded the management contract for the Kimpton Overland Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel adjacent to the Porsche Cars North America Atlanta campus just north of the international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Opened in 2017 as a destination hotel, the now Kimpton Overland Hotel provides travelers with unparalleled access to the Southeast’s commercial and transportation hub. Located just south of city center, Kimpton Overland features 214 guest rooms, including 17 executive suites, nine track view suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the Porsche track and airport runway, and one presidential suite. The hotel’s bold and modern design offers a subtle nod to its European motorsports neighbor and three-paned windows to minimize sound to make for an inspired, sophisticated stay experience.

The Overland features a signature restaurant, Apron, and a covered, open-air rooftop space, Overdrive Lounge, as well as 24/7 in-room dining. Apron, located on the hotel’s first floor, has 102 indoor seats along with 30 on its outdoor deck, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and boasts a Mediterranean-inspired menu with signature cocktails, an expansive wine list and local beer selections. Appealing to jetsetters and race enthusiasts, the 8th floor Overdrive Lounge provides guests with stunning views of the Porsche Experience Center test track and airport runways, hand-crafted cocktails, live music and a small menu of shared plates and desserts. Additionally, the Overland offers 6,064 square feet of meeting and event space on its ground and eighth floors designed to cater to discerning, small-to-medium-sized corporate and social groups.
Owned by ACRON USA, the Overland will be Kimpton’s second hotel in Georgia, joining its award-winning Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah, and marks the fifth hotel in Kimpton’s Southeast portfolio joining boutique destination hotels in Charlotte, Nashville, Savannah and Winston-Salem. Also importantly, the Overland marks the first Kimpton in its parent company’s home city, IHG’s corporate headquarters.
