Only a half mile to OSU which was great! Parking lot is tight. Customer service is lacking. Rooms have door handles hanging off and you have to slam the door to shut it. Not good at night when others are sleeping. Stains on pillows. Not sure how this hotel received a 4.3 out of 5 stars but I would give it a 2 out of 5. There are nicer hotels down the street.

We stayed as part of an anniversary weekend getaway and had a very relaxing evening with a very good night’s sleep in the comfy bed.

Attempted to check in and the man at the front desk told me my room was unavailable due to “energy” issues. He couldn’t clearly explain what that actually meant, but told me not to worry- he booked me a room next door at the Holiday Inn Express. I said, no thanks. Cancel the reservation. He said that’s fine, but you’ll be charged either way. I said, absolutely not. I booked the room via the app that was available and arrived and found out otherwise- please cancel the reservation. This back and forth went on for a while until he got on his computer and miraculously found me the room I had booked. ZERO idea what the issue was, but it was all very bizarre. I’ve stayed here before and this is not the first “odd” encounter with this host. Won’t be back.

i'm sorry I love IHG hotels and I absolutely love the Staybridge is because it has a one bedroom suite , but this was the worst day I have ever had with IHG when we checked in it was fine front desk was great but when we went to the room it was horrible blood all over the sofa sleeper the room was dirty so was the bathroom floors didn't even look like they were mopped or swept I called down to the front desk she did change our room the room that we did it was better but the ceilings were falling apart my family was so tired from the flight and the drive we did not want to switch again We just settled for that room the breakfast was fine but the ladies that were refilling it were rude when you let them know things ran out truly I would never recommend this hotel to anyone front desk was great that they really didn't fix the problem

I’ve never given a business a bad review in my life but…we stayed during the weekend of the OSO-Penn St. game and the hotel didn’t save the two bedroom suite we had booked so they gave us two rooms for the price of one. BUT…they ended up charging us for BOTH and the next day just gave us an email address and said that management(one person) would take care of it. Well…it’s been two weeks now and nothing has been done and “management” has just ghosted us. I’ve also tried putting this review in many times and it never publishes. Let’s see if this one does. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE dealing with a business. I’ve never experienced anything like this!

Our stay was fine but…we were overcharged on our card and was PROMISED that it would be taken care of by management but…it’s been almost two weeks now and management won’t respond to calls or emails. I have tried writing this twice now with all the details but it never shows up. Not sure if they just delete bad reviews or not but just want to give everyone a WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE. It’s in a nice location but there are other hotels nearby that are way better options except the place right next door that is under the same ownership. If you give them your Credit Card and they make a “mistake”…they will simply not respond. I talked to IHG Corporate today as well and unfortunately they probably won’t be able to help either.

Absolute disaster of our stay. I have never in my life had such an experience. They charged my card twice!!! When I was alerted from my bank I IMMEDIATELY went down to the front desk. The guy at the front desk told me it would be rectified and “not to worry”. When I returned to the desk in the morning…the lady working took a screenshot of my bank charges and gave me the email address of the owner. She also told me “not to worry…management is really good about handling problems like this”. I never should have left the hotel that day without getting my money back but the woman was very nice and she was also busy checking people out so I didn’t want to “make a scene”. Long story short I emailed the owner every day for one week. When he finally got back to me he said that he hadn’t seen any of my emails because he is an “extremely busy person”. Who doesn’t check email for a full week? He DID NOT offer any resolution and instead said “let’s see how far you you want to take this. Consider this game on.” That is a direct quote…no joke. I tried to do this review yesterday and even attached a copy of his email response to me as proof but it didn’t publish so I’m trying again without attaching it. Anyway, the rooms were ok although kinda “worn” and it’s in a great location near OSU’s campus but I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone to stay here because if you encounter any problems…your out of luck. I travel extensively and have NEVER given a poor review to a hotel EVER. What kind of CEO or President of a company responds to a client with “consider this game on”. Basically implying that it will cost me too much time and money to even fight to get my money back. SMH

Do not stay here or next door at the Holiday Inn Express next door which is under the same ownership! Long story short…my family initially had a reservation for a 2 bedroom suite at the Holiday Inn. Upon checking in…the front desk notified us that our room had been given away(it was the weekend of the OSU-Penn St. game). I told them “no problem…I’m from Toledo and can just drive home”. They informed me that they could give us two rooms next door at Staybridge for no extra charge. After checking in at Staybridge I received a message from my bank that I had been charged TWICE. I immediately went down to the front desk and was assured it would be taken of the following day. The following day I was just given an email address for Manav Singh. Manav responded to my first email but then ignored me for 6 straight days. After finally responding 6 days later he said that he’s an “extremely busy person” and hadn’t read my emails. How do you not read emails for 6 straight days? In my final email to him…I informed him that I would have to take alternate routes(such as disputing the charge or contacting corporate). He finally responded and said “GAME ON” and “let’s see how far you want to take this”. Keep in mind this is supposedly the CEO or President of the hotel. Completely unprofessional! I never should have left on Sunday without resolving the issue but I usually take people at their word and I was promised that it would be “taken care of”. Other than our one room not being cleaned very well…our stay was fine but…the way in which their owner handled this situation…I would not recommend either of these hotels to anyone!

Stayed here for 2 nights with family. Singh was so helpful and even brought some pool toys to the pool for my kids to use. Breakfast was fabulous one morning, but was closed at 9am the second morning, which seems a bit early to close. Location was convenient.

I am receiving treatment at the James Center at OSU and am staying at this hotel through the week. I had a problem with transportation and the hotel manager was kind enough to take me to the hospital himself. Thank you for going above and beyond for your guests.

The room was nice with comfortable beds. Choose this hotel due to the proximity to the James. Very easy to get to from there . Breakfast was good with lots of options and the staff was friendly .
