Nice but not worth

I would expect a complimentary upgrade since I am a loyalty member and came for celebration. At least should have some discount rate on dining at the restaurant which to encourage customers to dine in hotel. I was a little disappointed as well. The location was not good while no hotel shuttle bus service to /from station

部屋からは木曽川を眺めながらゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。広い庭を散歩しても良いですが、ちょっと隣の有楽苑まで歩いても心地よい時間が過ごせます。お陰様でリフレッシュ出来ました。

I stayed only one night at this gem of a hotel and I really wish I had been able to stay longer.
The setting was beautiful, the design and attention to detail were lovely and the atmosphere was wonderful. The food, breakfast in particular, was amazing and the onsen was idyllic.
What made it special for me, though, was the staff. I was having a back pain flare up and almost cancelled my trip because I was worried about not being able to get around well by myself. I asked for a room near the elevator and this was granted and when I went down for breakfast, I was sat at a table close to the amazing food selection and several members of staff helped me -from pouring coffee to heating up croissants- nothing seemed too much trouble for them. All the staff throughout the hotel were attentive and kind and they made sure I had a memorable stay.

We were greeted upon arrival at the hotel and took us to checked in area for a Diamond member. The hotel atmosphere is so cozy, relaxed & zen. The decoration is beautiful with the magnificent view of Inuyama castle at the lobby lounge.
Room is quite spacious with a good view of hotel garden and Kiso river. We can also see the castle from our balcony. Room is modern with Japanese influence design which we loved.
Amenities are more than what we want but that is a good thing. It’s quite up to date electronic equipments such as smart TV(that you can connect to Netflix, Apple device etc), a Nespresso machine and a good air conditioner. A big bathtub, a separate rain shower and of course a Japanese toilet is featured in the room too.
The gym and Onsen are good. The Onsen which is claimed to be a natural hot spring has both indoor and outdoor are quite decent size with hot and cold tub, separate Male and Female. It has a sauna as well. It’s quite relaxing to use it after a long sighting day.
The bar and restaurant are good. The choice of dishes might be limited but the quality and taste are good to very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Staff and service are great. Attention to detail is noticed. Staff can communicate in English without a problem even though we might have misunderstood something but they are very helpful and try to help and provide a very good service. We had to checkout early in the morning, the bill was ready without a problem and they even gave us a bag of breakfast bento boxes for our onwards journey, very thoughtful.
A few things we might want to mention is you cannot get drinks and food all day because bar and restaurant have a specific operating hours which is understandable. It’d be even better if the hotel put one or two more stools on the balcony.
Later on the day, my partner even said “I miss our stay at the Hotel already.”

エントランスからロビーに抜ける眺めが素晴らしいです。お部屋も素敵で寝心地も最高でした。
荷物を置く場所が足りなかった。(床に置きたくないので)
大浴場まで浴衣と下駄で行きましたが、距離があるので下駄だと疲れました。草履の方が有難いです。浴衣とは別にパジャマも用意されているのは嬉しいです。
朝食もメインは和食を頼み、ビュッフェも充実していて美味しく頂きましたが、食べ終わったお皿を早く片付けていただけるとよかったです。テーブルがお皿でいっぱいになってしまいました。クロワッサン美味しかったです！

Excellent location and wonderful views. Try the breakfast it does not disappoint. The onsen was very relaxing. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. The staff is very professional and friendly.

I had a trouble with CSU reward but the hotel generously gave us an upgrade to 1 King bed suite furnished balcony anyway. The hotel atmosphere is so cozy, relaxed & zen. 今回の滞在は長年の社会人としての仕事がひと段落し自分へのご褒美として滞在させて頂きました。チェックインからダイヤモンドエリートとして対応頂き素敵なスタッフの対応が素晴らしく思っていました。ところが31日の夜のブッへを予約して指定の時間、場所に行ったところレストランスタッフが中々対応頂けず数人のお客さんになって1人の女性スタッフが来て『ここじゃ無いです、宴会場に行って下さい。』と案内もせずに対応をされました。それまでは非常に良い印象を持って良い年が迎えられると思っていたのが、この対応で残念な思いとなりました。年末の忙しさもあると思いますが良い年末年始を迎えたいお客さんも多いと思いますのでちょっとした言葉使いと対応が気になりました。
頑張っているようですが、

従業員のオペレーションと実際に宿泊されるゲストのレベルが想定と相違し苦労されているようですね。派遣やアルバイトのスタッフが多い印象でした。正規スタッフの方々もおられるのでしょうが「非日常」だけではリピートできません。
もうしばらくして再訪した際、良いホテルになっていることに期待します。
レストランのスタッフは丁寧に対応してくださいましたが、バーのスタッフはもう少し顧客を観察するべきです。
なにより新しい施設だけに清掃の不備が目立ちました、改善を望みます。
Never visit this again! With Great Disappointment

We checked in on 23/12 at 5 pm in a freezing and dark evening. We asked for booking a table for two for a dinner in the only restaurant in this hotel but we were told it was full. We asked sincerely and humbly for exploring any dinner time from 5pm - 9 pm. Our reply was also no place. We were informed that almost all restaurants would close at 4-5 pm in the small city. It is so unbelievable that there is no convenient shops in the hotel or even selling machines for buying noodles or biscuits.
There is a bar only with a bar table! We ate nothing that night without dinner and snack. Starvation!
I could not seek your staff was helpful enough and it was very cold and dark, it seemed to be unsafe to walk outside with no people around to search for food in that small city in the chilly evening at about 0oC, after a day of long journey!!
It was my worst experience with IHG hotels ever!!! Never turning back! An impressive bad experience with the our first experience with Indigo Hotel! Never dare to try!
In addition, the buffet breakfast provided in the Ball Room was unsatisfactory with only very limited choices of foods, far below the standard of hotels of the same class and price. It was the same as the one provided to group tourists grade.
I was quite unexpected to the quality and service of this Hotel that deviated greatly from the all IHG hotels visited before. The videos speaking for this Indigo hotel in the YouTube I watched was not so true in my eyes after my visit.
I still rate high for the room but my holiday mood was spoiled totally without dinner but with an empty stomach!!! Should the hotel inform us to eat dinner before checking in?
