Poor floor plan

I don’t like arriving at a hotel and being solicited for a timeshare before I can even get my room key.
We were put in a three level lodge. It was crowded and unsafe. Was not what the pictures on website show. It was a very long walk from our car to our lodge.
Carpet and furnishings were old and dingy.
The bathrooms were horrible.
First bathroom had a hot tub with no shower head so it was impossible to rinse.
Second bathroom had a TINY standing shower.
Kitchen was good, but small. Balcony was the only spacious space in the entire unit.
Nice Enough

Staff at check-in was very friendly and helpful despite how busy it was.
Room was dirty (hair in tub, food and other debris on floor, etc). Also, no door handles for the second room made it difficult for the door to be closed/opened for any privacy.
Not very walkable, so main pools and eatery were a bit difficult to get to. We ended up driving over as the hill was so steep and narrow with no safe walkway for pedestrians/foot traffic. Staff at the eatery were hollering how they couldn’t wait to go home and were “over it” which was not very welcoming.
Kind of disappointing, but also nice.
Ruined vacation

It really seems like it would be an amazing place. Maybe it was. Maybe we were there at the wrong time, but...
We got two-bedroom apt for a very good price.
It was a bit dated and musky. Bed mattress was caved in, so my wife and I constantly rolled in the middle of the bed. The carpet on the floor was dirty and sticky. Two minutes of walking barefoot turns your feet black. Have you ever heard of shampooing the carpets? It needs it. Badly.
The pools look amazing in photos. But... they are either not big enough in reality, or you need more of them. Pools were packed. Nobody followed or enforced any rules - drinks in the pool, trash everywhere, noise, bodily fluids, spilled liquids. You can only imagine the "soup" which was the water in those pools (we checked all of them).
This place is maybe teenager friendly - not so much for small kids.
Access to the beach is inadequate. You have to pay twenty (this review prompt does not let me write the currency) per car to get to the waterfront without any facilities. There was deep ilk on the bottom everywhere mixed with shells for as far as you can walk and brown water. If money are charged for this, maybe a small patch of sand for kids could have been created?
We left early cutting our vacation short.
P.S. After posting the review on very famous site, Management wrote a very copy-paste like response. "We will take into account your feedback". Seriously, do better. I guess the brand does not care as much about its franchise compliance.

I spent two nights at this property last weekend....
Pro:
It's a very well-maintained property with friendly staff and excellent vacation suites. Great location too!
Cons:
Upon checking in we were told we needed to go to the "Vacation Station" to get our room keys and parking permit. Whereupon we were pressured into signing up for a timeshare presentation. I was road-weary and had to spend 10 minutes insisting that vacation ownership is not my bag.
We were awakened by the fire alarm just before midnight on both nights.
Saturday night revelers at the pool were playing loud music until well after midnight. Front desk said they were sending security. I do not know if that happened. Why do people feel a need to have a soundtrack with them at all times??
Overall, I’m very reluctant to give this property a second chance.

I was disappointed that I had breaker issues with my lights cutting off and on on the first day of arriving. Also they need to ensure the floors are properly cleaned. The bathroom and kitchen floors need to be mopped and the spots need ti be removed from th carpet
Not Worth It

This was the cheapest option for the area the weekend we needed. I usually have a great experience with any Holiday Inn property but there is a first time for everything. First off its a big property not a regular hotel which comes in to play at check in. They have a lot of fun stuff to do which is awesome. At check in everything was good standard check in here is your key but move on down to the next person for your parking pass? Weird but ok…guess what you are the extra super duper lucky person to be chosen to get to “late check out time” and receive money or points to go sit through a “preview” of the time share they want to sell you. Its just deposit and if you dont show your out that money plus the hold on your card they already have. I didnt see anything in the reviews about this or i would not have chosen this property. When I said %#^* no the lady got a big old attitiude with me. They were not busy as it is the off season but man they put every one in the same building it seemed. The room itself was on the same side as the walkway to get i to rooms so we heard everyone walking by dragging their luggage and talking and yelling at all hours. There was no way to cover the windows from the walkway lights so the room was never dark. The walls are super thin you could hear everyone around you doing all the things they were doing. The room needed a really good deep cleaning. There was hair on the shower walls dust everywhere and it just felt musty. The bed and sleeper sofa were not comfortable at all. There is no way I would pay to have a time share there or stay there at the prices posted in the closet showing the summer rates.

To spend 310 on a 2 bed outdated villa and have a late check in time 4p, early check out time 10a, long wait to check in, have to climb multiple flights of stairs to a room with no number and trash bags full of sheets and towels, 3 un made beds and pull out couch with blood stains on the mattress, urine on the toilets, cigarettes on the balcony, 2 minutes of hot water, hair and dirt in the jacuzzi jets, remote issues, phone didn't work, coffee maker still had grounds in it, no towels by the pool, and no complimentary breakfast was a HUGE mistake. We spent half our time cleaning just to relax. The walls are also super thin, sounded like housekeeping was next door laughing and talking at 9a on a Sunday.
Nice property ... But be aware

Ok it was my first time booking at this resort. It took like an hour to check in. When we were checking in the receptionist told me i had an offer because it was my first time booking it was $100 dollars back tor 20000 points But i had to sign up for a presentation next day in order to get them, the presentation was 90 minutes. I did not knew what was it about so my husband sign up and we left a 50 dollar deposit in case we don’t show up To the presentation. Next day we went i was let lnow it was a sales presentation for buying timeshares. To keep it simple the sales team were very pushy we were there for 5 and a half hours . I spent half of my day there when i just wanted to relax. I only booked for 2 nights so basically a day was lost. Please if you are first time visitors and dont plan to buy timeshare don’t waste your time even if they offered you something for free. That made me had a bad first experience other than that the property is nice
ROACHES and lies

When making the reservation online, I requested a unit with easy access (due to knee surgery, ie no stairs). I do realize this was a request, and not a guarantee. Check in went smoothly. I asked if in fact I was able to get my request of an easy to access room. I was told, yes, it is an easy access room. I arrived at the unit to find it was not easy access, but was down a flight of stairs. I carried a load of belongings down the flight of stairs to the room. The key card I was issued did not unlock the door. I then had to lug the load back up the flight of stairs and reload it into my vehicle, then drive back to the office. I was given a different key card and told that even though I was told by the person who gave the original, non-working, key that this room was easy access, they had no room to switch it with. So I went back with my new key and off loaded my items again, and lugged them back down the flight of stairs.
The second evening of the stay, we brought in pizza , and set it on the kitchen counter, for supper after a swim. When we returned from the pool to eat, about 45 minutes later, there were roaches in it. After killing the ones I could get, I took out a fresh loaf of bread and sliced it (on a plate on the opposite counter top) for sandwiches, since the fresh cooked pizza and cheese bread sticks had been contaminated with roaches. After slicing the bread, I went ahead and took the pizza and cheese sticks to the outside garbage bins (up the flight of stairs) to remove it from the room. While there, a lady staying in the unit next door was also putting out trash. I told her about the roaches in ours. She said before we checked in, they had another part of their family in the unit I rented, and they too has seen roaches in that kitchen, but didn't know whether they reported it. When I returned to the kitchen, about 3 minutes later, there were already roaches on the fresh bread. After discarding the rest of the food, I called the local office and reported the roach infestation to them. They offered to send someone to spray roach poison that night, but I declined as it would be 10pm, and fresh chemicals would be applied just before we (including a small child) would go to bed (to get up early and check out and leave).
Next I called IHG customer service to report the roach infestation to them. I was told someone would reach out to me by phone the next day to follow up on the problem.
It is now three days later, and I have heard from no one.
In addition to these problems, there were other, small issues I noticed, but didn't intend to mention until the major roach infestation. There were spider webs in both of the bathrooms, on the light fixtures over the bathroom sinks. In one of the closets in the master bedroom, there was a large stain on the floor that looked like something had leaked then molded. That whole closed smelled musty.

Lobby is extremely loud, when you check in you have to get a parking tag. To get your tag you are sent over to a different counter to get put into a high pressure sales pitch to join their club and forced to put a $50 retainer so you show up to some sales pitch meeting. Again, the lobby is extremely loud due to the flooring and ceiling material, I could barely hear what the woman was saying and apparently signed a paper saying I would show up to one of these meetings to which I could not show up to due to time, and you aren't won’t allowed to reschedule. Now I am out $50 and no one there seems to care. Honestly this is a horrible way to conduct business, it’s dishonest and the management should be ashamed at this practice.
