I'd like to start out by saying that I had 2 different reservations, one of a one night stay with just me and the second with a 4-night stay with my sister and niece. The first night I was there, I checked in late and the front desk staff was excellent. He was very friendly and accommodating, letting me know the times the bar, and other amenities was closing, also made sure I knew the Wi-Fi password. The only complaint about this night was there an odd smell that woke me up around 3am. The second night however was the problem. We again had to check in late, however my sister had called prior to see if there was anything we needed to do differently as we were using a different card than we had originally booked the room with. The response was “no” and that we were all set and there was a note on the account. We checked in late and we indeed had a problem. They wouldn't allow us to use the card we were using without prior authorization from our parent - which i do respect as we don't want any cards compromised - however frustrating that we had previously called and asked if we needed to do anything and were told no. We then needed to call our parents late at night to get them to take pictures of their licenses and fill out an authorization form, all of which could have been done hours prior when we had called and asked. This wasn't the worst part... the worst part was the customer service we received from the frost desk worker Akbar. I'm not one to complain or write reviews however this one warrants it. He has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. His arrogance and disrespect for his customers I find to be completely out of line. When I asked if there was a manager on duty I could speak with (as it said on the wall) he just pointed to a card holder with many different business cards in it. As we were asking questions, he then made us step aside to assist another customer as he said there was nothing more he could do for us, and it was "his job". We did step aside for him to help others however once he was finished with that customer, he never reached back out to us to see if he had received the correct material yet. Once we finally were able to be check in, he never apologized for the inconvenience or told us anything about the hotel, he didn't even give us the Wi-Fi password. Once arriving at the room, we found that the bed sheets where completely stained and that the outlets by the nightstand didn't work - not a single one. We didn't feel as though we could call the front desk and let them know about this as we had just had a negative interaction with the one and only front desk worker. The worst part of this whole experience was when my sister and 12-year-old niece went to the restaurant to get something to eat, and this front Desk worker came over to the waitress and said "watch out for these people as they are very rude". This was where they were able to hear him. The waitress Alexia was however FANTSASTIC she responded to him "I'm not worried about them" she did such a great job that we went down every night we were there and had a drink and or dinner and made sure to tip her over 20% as she was so good!
The day after checking in I did come back to the hotel earlier than normal and the guy who checked me in the first night was there I asked him if there was a manager on duty I could speak with as we had such a bad experience with the other employee. He informed me that no one was on at that time but that they would be there that afternoon and he would be more than happy to let the manager know we needed to speak with him. I also let him know he had done a great job checking me in in the first night and I was completely taken back by the way we had been treated the next night. I also let him know that the room had stained linins and the outlets where not working to which he immediately had Maintenace, and housekeeping come and fix. I'm thankful for this worker as he was trying his hardest to make everything right however, I don't feel it was his responsibility as we should have felt conferrable enough to call the front desk as soon as we noticed it not the next day. I did later get a call from one of the managers I believe his name was Sunny or Sam, he as well was very good he seemed to take our complaints seriously and said he would look into this as that behavior is not tolerated at their hotel and that there would be disciplinary action taken, not sure if I believe this, however would like to think it's true that he would speak with this individual as he definitely needs to have better customer service. Even through the remainder of the stay every other employee would greet us and ask how things were going, this one employee would just glare at us while we came and went. We were really only at the hotel to sleep, as we were up early and in late every night, and we tried to be as quiet. Though the manager was extremely nice, I would have thought that he would have offered some kind of compensation as we were spending A LOT of money to stay there for the week. Our family goes to this area at least six or more times a year. We fly out of that airport a lot and have numerous horseshows in the area each year, and after this experience, our family is not interested in staying at this establishment again. I find it truly unfortunate that one bad employee could give such a bad experience, I would have given zero stars to this hotel if the other employees weren't able to make up for it, and if we hadn't had this experience with this one employee, we would have given a lot better rating. I will say that the bar tender, Alexia, I'd give a 5* rating to as well as the manager and the first guy who checked me in, I wish I had his name to give him the proper acknowledgment. Again, it would have been nice to have been compensated in some manner for this however that was never offered.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times The rooms have always been clean and well maintained This past stay ; I noticed a musty smell that I believe may be coming from the carpet . A fresh rug shampoo may take care of it other wise a great stay; quiet and convenient location

Firstly I was given a handicap room which was disappointing. I also had requested for a late checkout at 1 pm which was acknowledged by Akbar, however I had housekeeping knocking on the door at 11 am and then I get a call from Mary asking about my checkout and she was rude when I asked her for a late checkout and was not informed to her . Lot of communication gap and little bit of courtesy and empathy should have been offered by Maddy

Unfortunately between the partying in the parking lot half the night and junkies going in and out of consciousness…to the false fire alarms. Even the kitchen wasn’t eatable. Our daughters mac n cheese was soup. The room was filthy pictures will be posted on Google.The partying right in front of the hotel, a dozen people doing drugs and blasting music. Even complaining goes nowhere.

Good afternoon,
My name is Desiree Allen. My daughter, sister, and I stayed at your hotel on August 7th. This was our 3rd time staying at your hotel. We love it there(very clean, comfortable, and cost-effective); it's also only about a half mile from Saint Anselm College(my son is a student there). My daughter(who made the reservations) didn't have the hundred dollars for the incidental, so I used my debit card. We checked out on August 8th. I was told that my money would be returned in 3-5 business days. On day 7 of my money not being refunded, I called your hotel and was told that it was being processed. Well, not so, so I called again and was told they would be released on August 18th. I was told to check my account on August 22nd. It should be there. Well, it wasn't, so I called back again and asked for the hotel manager(her name is Abby). She said she would look into it for me, and she asked for my number so she could call me back. I ended up calling her back, and she answered the phone. She didn't even remember who I was(of course I was insulted because I had talked to her earlier). She proceeded to tell me that I had to wait for another 7–10 days for my refund. Now I'm angry. It's August 26th and I still do not have my refund!!! Saint Anselm College is having a family weekend from September 23rd to the 25th. I'm not sure if I want to stay at your hotel again(but I probably will because I love it and it's very close to the college). Please, please can someone look into this for me. I just want my money back. Maybe some type of compensation for your mistake and my troubles. I'm a single mom of two and am putting my son through college. I really need my money. I don't usually complain about anything, but right is right, and wrong is wrong. Thank you in advance.
Bedbugs

On the evening prior to my departure I returned to the hotel around 12:30am. I immediately saw a bug on the wall and where i work in the field of Pest control, I knew exactly what it was. It was a bedbug. I put the bug into a cup and brought it to the staffs attention at the front desk. The staff at the desk told me that there is nothing that they can do for me because they are sold out for the night. I asked for some trash bags to bag up my clothing so I could bring it to the laundry mat and start washing my clothes to make sure that I kill any bugs that may have infiltrated my luggage etc. The staff member said I can’t give you that many but heres 3 bags. These bags were very small and essentially useless. I then started packing my belongings into the bags and started loading up my car. The staff at the desk looked at me, laughing and said “are you really leaving because of a single bedbug “ I explained to him that I work in pest control and I know that when there is 1, there are hundreds more somewhere. He laughed at me again and said “well I think it’s dumb that your leaving because of it” I proceeded to pack my belongings. I get to the laundromat, launder my clothes and drive the 1 hour ride home. The next day I called the hotel and explained to them what had happened. Tbey requested that I send them an email with photos of the bedbug so i did. I explained to the staff that im was calling the hotel first and not IHG to give them a chance to make it right and refund me for the stay. She assured me that her manager would call me the next day to resolve it. The next day goes by and so around 530pm. I call again. The staff tell me that they have to have the room inspected by their pest control company and I would definitely hear from them the following day. Its been 2 days now. I’ve called 3x and keep getting put on hold for about 30 minutes and then the line disconnects. So. Here i am. I gave them the opportunity to make it right but they have failed miserably. Which is sad because its a beautiful hotel.
So I want a full refund from the stay, including the funds spent on foods etc.
Cold showers

This is the 5th time at this location. Every time the showers are cold. Asked the front desk about it, got told to run the water until it’s warm. I have run the water for 2.5 hrs and it’s cold as ever. They don’t seem to want to fix the issue. Wish there was another clean updated hotel in the area.
