There looked to be two homeless men sitting in the lobby socializing with the front desk clerk when we arrived. The room smelled like a musty dog had lived there for months. There were small items left on the counter which made me question whether the room had been properly cleaned and there were crickets in the shower. When a complaint was made at the front desk the reply was “this is a very old building and is infested with crickets. We spray for them 3 times each week.” No other resolution was offered by the staff at the hotel.

The room and hallways and stairwells were dirty. Bed bug bites all over our legs. Breakfast options were not like other IHG hotels. There were crickets everywhere and found 3 in our room. Not a standard IHG hotel. Very disappointed and do not recommend. Very rude staff and would not let us pay on a different card then what I registered with months previous.

The room was disgusting. I felt like it was a room that had been closed off to guests. The room had a lot of damage to the door, walls and around the baseboards. I walked in and immediately smelled moisture. The air vents looked to have mold in them and the ceiling around them. A light bulb was missing from the bedside lamp. The couch and chair by the bed were stained. There was no toilet paper roll. The shampoo/soap container was moldy looking and the conditioner container was broken. There was also an unidentified brown smear in the bathroom door frame near the toilet. I was supposed to stay 3 nights. I stayed one but regret I didn’t just leave. So disappointed in IHG hotels lately. They are out of date and in need of repair.

From check in to check out the customer service was non existent. I asked to check in early and was told it was allowed and then sat for two hours and actually rooms wasn’t ready at 3pm. I asked to move rooms based on noise at the elevator and was told only room I was able to move to was a few doors down which now was in front of pool/patio. I told Ms Terea I was looking for a different hotel since the staff refused to move me to the 4th floor and she asked the manager to call me. When he manager called me since I am asking to move she said she would move me and charge me more. I told her I wasn’t asking for a larger room just a quieter area of hotel. You can hear traffic all night and people behind hotel all night. She then told evening staff to move me and we went through 3 rooms trying to find one, one had no TV, one the door wouldn’t lock and one the AC wouldn’t work. I stayed in my room only to call the front desk at midnight and a part was still going on by pool. I was told it was he house keeping staff and they asked them to wrap it up. I checked out the next day. Ms Teree is the only person there that had any customer service skills. She would go work for another hotel chain.

Booked hotel ahead of time online and arrived at 10pm to find out they down graded my bed from king to queen due to no availability. I had this reservation for a week and the front desk also told the person in front of me they changed their room also from two bed to one since they had third party and it isn’t guaranteed. I booked directly and they changed mine. No phone call to tell me ahead of time and no discount or points for inconvenience. Room is outdated, poor upkeep for the infrastructure of the hotel, and I asked if the hotel was smoking at one point and told no. My room smelt of smoke and mildew. If you like paying to stay in a dusty 90s hotel for modern prices then this is for you. The front desk agent is great that was on 2nd shift but I wished I was notified ahead of time of the changes so I can make other accommodations before I arrived late at night.

Our sheets were “clean” but had stains all over them. I cannot believe housekeeping proceeded with using them. The bed rail was filthy, the floor on the edge of the bed was filthy. The tile was sticky. The elevator is really rough and rickety therefore, we opted to take the stairs. The stairs were caked in dirt and mud and stains as if they had not been cleaned in years. The check in person was nice but needed help. I believe he was the only person there handling the entire hotel . Fellow travelers cancelled their room after seeing the not up to par cleanliness and drove to Austin to find another hotel. We stayed but will not be back. The owner of this hotel really needs to be held accountable to do better:

Horrible horrible experience, first night was a nightmare… not only was the door latch broken and fixed with zip tie, the AirConditioner Unit in the Room had the loudest most annoying noise ever, when it would turn on it popped so loud it woke me up all night and not to mention the parking lot DJ all night (day 1 no sleep) i notified the front desk in the morning and she immediately moved me to a different room with upgrade. Nice bigger room, but…. Then the shower was gross, trash under bed, curtains and blankets stained, ripped couch and not to mention Air Conditioner was not at its best… then to top it off, guest from another room were being the loudest neighbors, had children running and jumping, slamming door, crying… seemed like they had a huge party with the adults while kids did all that! Started around 11:30pm until about 3:15am when I called the front office to advise them but nothing was done… neighbors finally called it quits about 5am (day 2 no sleep) that same morning I notified front desk clerk and I was told nothing he could do about it because he was not manager or had permission to so… was told manager would be there at 11am or 12 I went back at 12 and again NO MANAGER!!! I am Livid!!!! Will never ever stay at this location. As a matter of fact the majority of the guest that stayed complained about the cleanliness of Staybridge… it is horrible and disgusting!

When I checked in the guy behind the counter couldn’t even stand up. Then while checking in he has a 5 minute conversation with someone that walked behind the counter instead of finishing my check in. Then continues to eat his food while in the middle of checking me in. Incase anyone thinks I am a random person that stays occasionally but actually I travel for a living so I stay with IHG all the time I am a diamond member.
AC did not work

My AC in the room stopped working and there was no one to look at it at midnight.the front desk let me change my room but the AC unit did not worn there either. So it was not a comfortable stay.
Property Lost

We lost some property during our stay. We contacted management many times but it took 3 days after we checked out to get talk with the manager. We were told by the manager that the nobody was in the room during our stay however, we did see employees in the room during our stay. We filed a police report, but I cannot recommend staying at the hotel given the slow and lackluster response from manager to help resolve our concerns.

Hallway smelled, dirty carpet in the hallway and stairwell. The bathroom door was missing the door knob, I was allotted one wire hanger and there were plastic clips to keep the curtain closed to block the blinding light from the storage facility next door. I mentioned the missing door knob on the first day, 6 days later it was still missing when I left. The door handle to my room was held together with a hose clamp. The shower head sprayed water to the side, soaking the floor. I just used every towel in the room to soak up the water. The stains on the wall in the bathroom wiped off with a little water on a towel. Why couldn't the hotel do the same?

Upon our early arrival on Saturday we were greeted by a woman who was very unprofessional. The lady at the front desk verbally made it known that we were extremely early for our check in and spoke to my wife and I as if we were children. In addition, she was training a new employee and she continuously belittled him on his mistakes. Further more, my wife was bitten by fleas during our stay. (There was a furry friend on our floor located a couple of rooms down from us). This was an unfortunate experience.
