Front desk staff not the best

My stay would have been 5 stars if the front desk staff were more welcoming. When we had arrived 45min before Check in time I stood in front of the gentleman at the front desk for a good 5 minutes before he actually acknowledged me. they had also informed us we had to pay a fee to check-in early so we waited. I then go up again I believe it was 5minutes before 3pm to see if I could check-in and they refused and very rude about it. There was no member recognition and later on into our stay we got a rental and I went down to the front desk to asking about parking and how much it would be and once again I stood at the front desk for a good 5min before the lady acknowledged me. If she were to be on the phone it would have understandable but she was just on the computer just like the gentlemen before. Housekeeping at this hotel are Gods gift they were so kind and helpful by daughter had gotten sick so service wasn’t needed but fresh towels were very helpful and the housekeeper on our floor was very attentive and helpful in making sure we had everything we needed.

In the 10 plus years of being an IHG member somebody has to be the worst and I found it. Waited a long time for the shuttle to get us at the airport. The shuttle tracker showed it sitting and not moving. I called the hotel to make sure we were at a correct pickup spot and couldn’t get past the automated loop so I gave up and just got an Uber. The hallway of our room was so warm and humid and the AC wasn’t working adequately in our room. I complained a couple of times so maintenance came, waved his hand by the vent and told me that it was indeed running on the high setting and it would cool off eventually. The room started at 74 at 3pm and by 5 am got down to 70. I had it set at 65. With no sound coming from the room AC we could hear every door and conversation in the hallway along with every plane outside. I had earbuds and used my white noise app but it was still horrible sleeping due to the room temperature. We couldn’t figure out the main showerhead so not sure if it worked or not but could only get water out of the small handheld nozzle they had hanging on the wall. There was no water pressure. The staff was friendly enough and the bed was comfortable but I would never stay there again. I’d pay more for a quality stay and should have avoided this bargain.

Upon entering the lobby the hotel it smelled amazing and was very clean the only few issues I had were that the key cards easily go out I had to keep going to the desk to get them reset also there was hair and long hair strands on two of the wash cloths in the bath room the room also didn’t smell very pleasant when I walked in air fresheners definitely would be a plus for the rooms I also was not recognized as a platinum member no microwave in room.

We stayed here for 1 night. The ac in our original room did not work. There was barely any airflow and what was coming out was not cold. We spoke with a lady at the front desk and she told us that the air shuts off when we leave the room but to wait about 30 minutes and it should be cooler. 2 hrs later the temperature had gone up. Spoke to her again and she sent maintenance up. Maintenance looked and the thermostat felt to see if air was blowing and told us to wait another 30 minutes. 30 minutes later we went back down to the front desk and a man was there (shift change). He sent a different maintenance man up. This maintenance man tried to tell us we just needed to wait another 30 minutes. After the guy at the front desk heard me tell my husband I would be calling the corporate office we finally got a new room with working ac.

Bathroom seems like a bit outdate. But, we were only There for a rest before we catch a flight. It's worth the money.

We have never stayed at an EVEN hotel and had great expectations. We were disappointed, but that’s not to say it wasn’t still a decent place, especially if you just need to stay a night to catch a flight or cruise, but we thought it would be more ‘elevated’ in comparison to the other property types. Our floor in general was dirty and our bathroom door looks like it has never been wiped down. We got a quick dinner after check in and when we came back there were about 4 cop cars out front and looks like whatever happened had been resoluted, but never something you want to necessarily see at your hotel. But aside from that it was a generally pleasing experience. Please do call the hotel when you arrive if you need the shuttle. We waited about 30 minutes at the location that was written in the instructions on the website and never saw a shuttle. I called and let them know we needed one and it wasn’t 10 minutes later one arrived. I think it seems in the instructions that they just run regularly in a cycle and I don’t believe that is true. They do offer a paid shuttle service to the cruise ports if you don’t want to get an Uber.

The front register staff was poor. Not welcoming and friendly. I was stunned. The air conditioning in the room was working off and on. Parking was good but you do have to pay $15/ day. I will NOT stay here again. The front desk staff made me feel that they were doing me a favor. This was on multiple instances. I do have choices of where I stay and I am exercising that option when I am in Miami again!
Not clean! Shuttle service

IHG booked this hotel for for me. I explained that I needed to have early check-in and to make sure there was a shuttle service. The lady from IHG called the hotel and insured that we would have early check-in on both days as well as shuttle service from the airport to the port, and from the port to the hotel, and then to the airport upon my return from our cruise. We had no problem getting from the airport to the hotel, or from the hotel to the airport. However, we had to wait to be checked in to the room the first day upon getting to the room the hallways were dirty the room was dirty!! The shuttle service took us down to the drugstore, and we bought cleaning supplies and disinfectant spray. We cleaned and disinfected the rooms!
That night the clerk told my husband and (My Son) that we had to pay $15 for the shuttle service apiece(five dollars was given to the clerk at the hotel. And the $10 per person will be given to the driver of the bus that was coming to pick everyone up that was over 75 to 100 people waiting for the bus which never came! We were told that the bus would be there in 30 minutes then it went from 30 minutes to an hour then from an hour to another few minutes,! The bus was supposed to arrive around 9:30 AM all the guess who was supposed to take the shuttle begin to call Uber service waiting over two hours they didn’t want to miss the cruise. We waited another hour and a half. We were supposed to check in our cruise time was 1:30 PM we had to call Uber to get us to the port.
2/4/24 We took a Uber from the port back to the hotel. Upon our arrival the hotel, I informed the clerk at the desk that we scheduled for early check-in. The clerk informed me that the hotel had been full and that it will take a minute we said no problem. We will wait upon waiting about an hour and a half I noticed some people were being checked into their rooms. Went back and spoke with the clerk informed that it’ll be a little more time. no worries sit down for another hour or more. I noticed other people were being checked in. Went back to the clerk I was told around 1 PM.. went back to the clerk 1:30 PM. We were informed that it would be much later. This is unacceptable!! we left the hotel went to grab a bite to eat. Upon our return we finally got into our rooms. Once again, the hallway leading to our rooms was dirty! Upon entering the room, one of the beds was disheveled, as if someone had been sitting on it. The bathroom floor was dirty, and a carpet appeared to have not been vacuumed! Once again, I clean the room and disinfected the beds, but disinfectant spray!
My son came to my room, said that he was very disgusted with the hotel! He stated that there were crumbs all over the bed and on the floor in the room! He said they had to be moved to another room !! He stated that he took pictures!
His wife was very upset and refused to sleep under the sheets!!

Hotel was close to the airport. Overall hotel was nice however the wait staff in the restaurant/ bar was very slow. It took 1 hour to receive beverages and over an hour and a half to get food. The food was good but the wait was a little unreasonable. The air in our guest room would not raise about 59. They did move us to another room.
Very dirty and not worth the money

There was hair all over the bathroom, trash in the room, and an iron shaped burn mark on the bench in the room. They also lost power in the middle of the night and didn’t communicate with hotel guests regarding the power loss at all. Then housekeeping barged into the room at 8:00 am while we were sleeping despite the fact that we had our do not disturb sign hung up and an 11:00 am checkout time. I would not stay here again, especially not for $200. The only positive I have for the property was that the food at the restaurant was excellent.
