I’m not quite sure what I expected as this was the cheapest hotel located in downtown Pittsburgh. The pictures on the website made it look like a nice hotel. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The room had a weird smell to it.
We went down for breakfast the one morning and the waitresses never acknowledged us. Two tables sat down after us. One of them sat at the table right next to ours and they still continued to ignore us and waited on the other tables.
Honestly next time I will pay the extra money to stay at a better hotel.
Average hotel let down by staff

Booked my room through IHG website, but when I arrived late evening at hotel, they did not honour the room I booked. Front desk ambivalent and made out it must have been a problem with the way I booked the room. Hotel was full that night. Next day was an effort to get room changed. Front desk staff not empowered to make any decisions and had to call manager for everything (who was not even at hotel). Room eventually changed, still not to what I booked. I’d given up at this point.
Asked for a late checkout on day of departure (I am Diamond elite). Again, front desk staff not even empowered to make this decision by themselves and had to call the manager. Request was refused as the hotel was “full” that night. At the time, IHG website clearly showing rooms available which were still available to book at 9pm that evening - so clearly just an all round poor attitude from the staff in this hotel towards guests. I had a reservation for next month here which I cancelled on the spot, front desk staff not in the slightest bit interested at the loss of revenue!

I don’t leave reviews on the hotel site ever, but this experience has driven me to do so.
The front desk staff is surly, unprofessional, and profoundly unwelcoming.
The hotel is dirty and has a distinctly unpleasant odor.
This price point is absolutely out of line and ridiculous for the experience.
I could not help but notice the the hotel never misses a chance to charge for every little extra.

It took hours to check in. Once I was given a room it wasn’t the one I had reserved so after anothe hour and a half wait I finally got the correct room. I wasn’t able to get a late check out which seems to be the norm now regardless of member status.
I went down at night for a soda and the security guard was asleep in a chair along with the desk clerk. Decent building but I’ll stay elsewhere from now on.

This hotel is steps away from Market Square and within about a half hour walk to multiple different areas of the city. The furnishings were perfect and having a yoga mat and other wellness equipment right in the room were nice touches.
Falsely charged no smoking fee

I stayed in your hotel on Sunday the 19th of May 2024 for 1 night
Upon Entry into the room it smelt of Cannabis, A friend was with me and can bare witness to this fact also, i can provide their contact information if required. i attempted to try to remove the smell by opening the door to fan the smell out - you can check your CCTV cameras in the hallways to confirm this, this process failed to get rid of the smell, it had been a long day so i just dealt with it.
Upon exit from your hotel I was charged a fee for this "Smell" that was present before i got into the room, and I would suggest your cleaning crew would have smelt it before i got in there anyway as it was VERY Strong.
I feel like I was unfairly targeted for being charged this fee, i'm a visitor to your country and I've flown a long way over 8000 miles and I don't wish to break any rules that your hotel has.

Had breakfast in the restaurant and the potatoes were so hard I couldn’t get a fork into them. Confirmed with the server they had been prepared hours before.

I had booked 5 rooms for a weekend. Our family was very appreciative of the lobby area! It was a great place to gather in the evenings. I also appreciate how clean the rooms were and friendliness of staff. We had a billing issue but it was taken care of immediately! Valet was also great!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were great and diverse. Room was clean and updated. Good location for my work but not the best part of town for safe walking alone at night.
