Platinum Elite

If the bar is closing, the staff should inform the guest. The staff disappears without any notice. After 9 pm nobody at the reception speaks English. DM not available. The red wine in the club lounge had gone bad, nobody took care.

Great Hotel and Location letdown by poor housekeeping and boring breakfast

China and Shanghai, a location I m very familiar and Frequently visit (mostly for Business)

Decide to stay 1st time at the Hualuxe (since in it is IHG hotel and read reviews on other booking portal. I was impressed with i arrived and Lobby staff was great and very helpful. What even more surprised was that Metro Line 1 exit was just 10m away from hotel entrance

I stay 5 nights.
It was when i realise the hotel experience was not so great after all. A letdown that could be avoid
1) Poor housekeeping. Other than changed of towel, empty of bins and replenished water, Seems that they did not vacuum the rooms. Housekeeping Staff was not attentive to ensure details (such as coffee stains on table leafovery from previous guest, did not provide floor matt after the remove old wet ones)

2) Boring Breakfast
during my 5 days at the hotel, the breakfast offerings remains the same daily. I understand that hotel keeps weekly menu, but minor changes will be appreciated by long staying guest . I have stayed in 3/4stars hotel in Shanghai and they manages minor changes to breakfast menu daily (a few dishes changes daily such as the veg, fried rice to noodle, Pancakes to Waffles etc) ...BTW, one of the worse Croissants and Danish i had in a LUXURY hotel

3) Bedroom slippers and Pajamas at breakfast
Some hotel guess was allowed at breakfast in bedroom slipper and Pajamas. Even though i see signs in the lobby elevator to the breakfast place mentioned NO. Your hotel staff check guest at the restaurant for their room number, hence you have every opportunity to turn guest with Bedroom slippers and Pajamas away.

很糟糕的一次体验

前台接待的时候没有识别出会员身份 房间升级 双早 都是我问了他们才说 正常情况下都是主动说的
酒店前台一直都是冷冰冰的样子 很不专业 甚至退房的时候前台在拨打私人电话
浴缸的防滑垫发黄发黑了 无法拆卸 床单上有污渍 打了电话给前台还是一副冷冰冰的样子 派了客房阿姨来看了一下 说是我们衣服上掉下来的毛发 推卸责任 然后就走了 再也没有任何说法 这件事情就结束了
